DM1100 SOLAS Tape is a weather and solvent resistant product designed for the harsh outdoor conditions of the sea. DM1100 complies with USCG46CFR 164.018 and IMO Resolution A.658(16) and is certified by German Marine Standards GL. Applications include rigid and non-rigid marine devices: life rafts, lifebuos, life jackets and lifeboats.

Tape Structure

DM's SOLAS tapes consist of encapsulated glass beads embedded in a layer of plastic. They feature a smooth surface, a durable, weather-resistant, UV-stabilized polymer. DM's SOLAS tapes are available in two versions: DM1100A, which has a strong adhesive backing, and DM1100B, which has no adhesive and has a fabric backing.

Retroreflective

The coefficient of retroreflection (RA) of DM1101 SOLAS tape shall not be less than the values ​​shown below.

Chromaticity

DM1101 SOLAS tape is silver in color. Chromaticity is measured according to CIE No.15 and lies in the area defined by the following chromaticity coordinates when illuminated from a light source using a 45°/0° or 0°/45° geometry:

Adhesive

DM1101 SOLAS Tape is available in DM1100A with an adhesive backing. The adhesive is protected by a release liner that can be removed without immersion in water or solvents.

Storage period and method

Product should be used within one year from date of shipment. All rolls, even partially used rolls, should be stored tightly rolled in the original packaging. Store in a dry, clean place out of direct sunlight. Store at 20°C and 50% relative humidity.
